Welcome to Dreamwidth

Hello and welcome to Dreamwidth. I’m xy, your administrator, writing to clarify a few rules about using our platform:

1. Take full advantage of our features and include your current "music" under each post. These selections will be vetted, then ranked along a spectrum of appropriate to actual sewage. Consider your playlist carefully

2. Instead of a period, finish off each sentence with a star☆

3. Confess. To everything. Preferably in list format

4. Sign off every entry with a spirited quote from the worst sports movie that comes to mind

5. Anyone with the name Tooyama Kintarou is banned from the platform

EDIT:
5. Anyone with the name Kirihara Akaya is banned from the platform

And of course, for your protection, please comment to this entry with the password your account

(ooc: Please note that this is not a dreamwidth administrator -- this is Zaizen Hikaru posting some nonsense)

I don't understand why these are the rules. I read other rules when I created my new account and there was no mention of these rules anywhere in that text, so how do I know that these are the real rules? Also, why would I give you my password? That seems like unnecessary. Wouldn't that invite you to get into my journal and read potentially private entries? Not that I have anything to post privately because I just started this and I'm not entirely sure that I have anything noteworthy to discuss. I don't even know you, so I'm not fond of the idea of you having my information like that. Then there is the star thing. That seems like a huge waste of time when a period is a perfectly good ending to a sentence. I don't really watch sports movies so I don't know what the bad ones are to be able to quote them for you and even if I did, that isn't something that I would want on my journal because it is my journal and I don't care about bad sports movie quotes. Why would you ban someone named Tooyama Kintarou? Did he do something do you? I suppose if he did something to you then I could understand why you would want to ban him, but since I don't know him I can't properly judge his character. Speaking of lists, what is the purpose of a list in a journal? I use lists for things like what groceries I need to get or what to pack in my suitcase for if I travel or what presents to buy my little sisters and friends for birthdays and other holidays. That said, I can post my grocery lists if you would like to read them, but the presents lists are going to stay off of my journal because I think Kamio and Tachibana-chan have journals on here and I don't want them to know what I get them for their birthdays because that would ruin the surprise.

I don't think that's true. Computer programs already store that information; I'm not sure an admin needs to personally have that information at their disposal as well. As I explained, I only use lists for certain things, so I'm not interested in using them for posts. Please forgive me. I do hope that Tooyama has been able to redeem himself and will be able to post in his journal as he ses fit. I still will not use stars.
