Music is my major, I would hope so.

I can. Can you play an instrument?

Oh, interesting. That would explain it, then. Are you pursuing it as a passion or because you're aiming for a particular profession?

Not particularly. I've tried picking up guitar myself, but I never dedicated the time to properly learn it. It seems like a good instrument for sitting on the beach and watching the surf, so I'd like to learn more if I can.

Ukulele might be more suitable for you, then.

That's wonderful. It pleases me when people can pursue their passions alongside their profession. It may be corny, but what they say about loving something so that it doesn't feel like a job is wise advice.

Oh? What would make a ukulele more suitable?

There's also the chance that having it as a job could ruin the thing you love.

That's true. It depends on whether or not you find yourself a good situation for work. Did you have a particular area you were eyeing in the world of music?

Interesting. I'll have to check it out. Don't they have quite a different sound?

I'm still thinking about that. I have some ideas, but it depends on where I'm able to break in.

I don't mind. What's your major?

That makes sense. It opens up many doors for you. Good luck with your pursuit; I'm confident you'll make it.

Entrepreneurship. Which in practice really just means that I have many potential start ups that I would like to pursue, and I'm also a bit indecisive. I like to try a bit of everything.

I guess it would depend on how intimately involved with each you'd like to be.

You don't seem like the sort who wants to hear incessant encouragement, so I'll refrain, but I genuinely do wish you the best of luck.

I'd like to be very hands on at least for the first few years. I'm looking at starting with a catering company and a line of fashion... but I will need partners at least for the latter.

Yeah, after a certain amount of encouragement I inflate and float away to alien worlds.
