I don't necessarily disagree with that. But especially in my current field and the demand on creativity, talent is also an important factor; with any natural joy or inclination, the same amount of hard work will usually take a person farther than someone without it.

In tennis, when I first came to practice, my teammates called me a genius because I'm generally pretty athletic and good at reading patterns. That was a bit much.

I don't know your field but I do know that Yukimura is one of the most creative people I know and he is also one of the hardest working. He's always striving to improve his natural talent through practice.

Don't let your field or natural talents limit you. Even if it seems impossible, I'm sure there is a way to practice or train and continue your growth.

His work is compelling. I'm in the same university as Yukimura-san, in the music school.

Hard work is key in developing skills and executing ideas, I am not trying to refute that. But inspiration itself is a talent and not always straightforward when it strikes at all of the other places in life. I think you're right in that recognizing and building on those moments of experience takes training.

If it is inspiration you need, you should go out and experience a variety of things. All excuses for not training hard can be resolved somehow.

I have my own way of finding inspiration, but I can't say it really feels like hard work. More enjoyable than anything.

That is a sign that you are doing something you love. Hard work doesn't mean it can't be enjoyable. I find it very satisfying to meditate and exercise before rest of the family wakes up though I'm sure others would disagree and consider it disagreeable work.

No, it doesn't. Especially when you've surpassed them ages ago because you've worked harder and smarter than them.

Even Atobe, who has few redeeming qualities, is an advocate of hard work.

No. I once mentioned his frivolous spending of money on friends was a rather nice perk of putting up with his ego.

I enjoy your comments, Sanada-san. Tezuka-san was really cool the other day, though. Even while wearing cat ears, he delivered an insult that really shook the other person.

Were you at a costume party? Though it's a bit out of season. Perhaps you were visiting Disney?

No, I had obtained the ears for doing some radio promotion on my show. I had them afterward and Tezuka-san happened to get involved and resolve a particular situation. I was relieved.

Ah... that is an odd thank you gift. And you were fortunate Tezuka decided to help. He is a natural leader when he can be bothered to do so.


And I did not know you have a radio show.

So I saw. It was an impressive display.

My radio show is on at a very inconvient time, so I do not expect many people to listen: it begins at 2am on Wednesday morning and ends around 5am.

That is true. And it seems they got some use.

I'm often up before five. Perhaps I can delay meditating to listen to the end of your show one day.
